Most professionals carry two guns on operations... a long gun as a primary and a pistol as a secondary. The primary weapon is used for most things. However situations can arise where the primary weapon malfunctions or runs out of ammo. Also, pistols are better for tight quarters. Therefore, it is imperative that they know how, and when, to use both weapons.
This course provides training for you to do the same... the use of your carbine or shotgun as a primary weapon and a pistol as a secondary weapon. As this course starts well above the basic level, you should be proficient in the operation and marksmanship of both weapons you bring to this class, and both weapons should be zeroed before attending.
Ever heard of a Special Forces A Team?? Or a SWAT Team?? Or a SEAL Team?? Notice the word, Team?? Professionals conduct operations as a team. The most basic team element is two operators (buddies).
Spouses, father-son, mother-daughter, siblings, neighbors, co-workers, and/or friends can all become a buddy team.
This course covers buddy team tactics. After 2 Gun Tactics, this is the next step in being prepared for bad things. You will learn to cover for each other during shooting and moving drills. While one is reloading, they are covered by their buddy. When one is moving from one point to another, they are covered by their buddy. Between the two of you, there will always be lethal cover, thus keeping you safer while one does non-shooting tasks. As this course starts well above the basic level, you should be proficient in the operation and marksmanship of both weapons you bring to this class, and both weapons should be zeroed before attending.
If bad things happened, you may not have the luxury of having all your own weapons with you. You may have to rely on picking up a dropped weapon to continue your fight. Having at least a basic knowledge on how to operate different weapons systems is extremely important. In everyday life it may be merely to make sure they are unloaded and safe. In a life-and-death fight it could determine the outcome.
This course covers numerous different weapons systems. Courses of fire will be conducted in which you'll be shooting various weapons from stage to stage. This is a physically demanding course where you'll be running from one stage to another and engaging targets with different weapons, at varying distances.
You are required to bring at least one long gun and one pistol of your choice (more if you want), and ammo for both. As this is not a basic level course you should be proficient in the weapons you bring to this class, and both weapons should be zeroed before attending. Training will be provided on each weapon and then the fun begins. And yes, others in the class will be shooting your weapons, and you theirs. This course provides a substantial amount of information on different weapons systems, and you'll have a lot of fun shooting unfamiliar weapons.
Full Auto!!! If you've ever shot a select-fire weapon you know that it goes through ammo fast. Some will tell you that full-auto is uncontrollable and will always climb during the recoil making you miss your target. If you're missing your target, all that expensive ammo is being wasted. And who knows where it will end up.
Want to learn how to shoot a select-fire weapon correctly?? So your rounds stay on target?? If so, this is the course for you. You'll be instructed the proper way to "Rock & Roll." You'll also be taught trigger control, giving you the ability to fire the number of rounds you want on each trigger press. And you'll have a lot of fun. EVERYONE gets an ear-to-ear smile when shooting full-auto.
As you can expect, this course has a very high round-count.
Disclaimer: ***This course is strictly for those who legally own a Class III select-fire weapon. You will be required to bring your own select-fire weapon to the course. Documentation will be checked. If you aren't licensed from the BATFE to possess that weapon... you will NOT be attending this course.***
