If you’re Preparing Yourself to use your semi-auto pistol in a Self Defense Situation this training is for you.
This course covers Drawing from the Holster where you’ll work on a smooth, efficient draw; Shooting Multiple Targets where you’ll engage more than one target at a time; Shooting from Barricades where you’ll learn the proper use of cover and the angles involved to engage targets while still protecting yourself behind cover; and Moving & Shooting where you’ll be moving on the range while engaging both single & multiple targets.
*** NOTE: This is NOT a Basic Pistol course where you learn how to shoot, however you do NOT need to be an Expert. You must merely be able to load your magazines quickly, operate your semi-auto pistol safely, and be able to hit a silhouette target at 10 yards with no misses.
This course starts at a level above the Basics and takes you to a higher level of pistol use.
This training is for Semi-Auto Pistols only.
Pre-Registration is Mandatory.
This training will be conducted at The Firing Line Indoor Range & Gun Shop located at 33000 Ford Rd. Westland, MI 48185.

Required Equipment
- Quality/Reliable Semi-Auto Pistol.
- 2 Magazines MINIMUM; More is better.
- Holster (Your daily carry holster is recommended, but any style holster designed for your pistol is acceptable).
- Magazine Carrier (Encouraged but optional).
- 250 rounds ammunition; More is encouraged.
- Clothing suitable for the range. Long-sleeved shirts & baseball cap are recommended. No open top shoes/sandals.
- Eye & Ear Protection.
- A Concealment Garment... Suitcoat, Jacket, Sweatshirt, Button-Up Shirt, etc. (Whatever garment you typically wear to conceal your pistol).
- Snacks & Water.
- Note-taking materials.
Hosting a Course
Hosting a course is easy and makes training affordable. You provide the training site(s) and GSR Group provides the instructor(s). Depending on the training desired, training sites may include a classroom, a gun range, and/or building(s) for tactics.
We have two options when you host a course...
1. You can host a CLOSED Course, where it's only your personnel in the training. GSR Group quotes you a flat fee for the training, and you can send as many of your personnel to the training as you wish (up to the class size limit).
This option works great if you have a large number of personnel to get trained; or if your personnel are acting as a team.
2. You can host an OPEN Course, where it is open for personnel from other entities to attend. For providing the training site(s) you receive two (2) FREE slots in the course.
This option works great if you have a small number of personnel to get trained; two are FREE.
