Tactical units are required to make forced entry into structures on nearly every mission.  Whether it is a SWAT Team rescuing hostages or a Narcotics Unit executing a search warrant, the forced “breach” is a critical component to success.  Many buildings are fortified by determined suspects and if the team cannot get into the structure the mission is compromised at the very beginning. This course will expose personnel to various methods of forced entry using a variety of mechanical breaching tools.  

Tactical units need to gain entry to a fortified structure in a rapid timeframe.  A role that has been traditionally held by mechanical breaching tools may, under certain circumstances, be undertaken with the breaching shotgun.  This course provides the training in determining if the breaching shotgun should be deployed and how to deploy the shotgun to ensure the safety of all parties.  Specific weapons and specialty ammunition are discussed.  The course begins in the classroom and progresses through tactical simulations deploying the breaching shotgun with live ammunition.

$60 per hour (per person) of instruction.  Small group rates are negotiable.

Law Enforcement is called upon to arrest suspects on a daily basis, and many times the suspects are inside a vehicle.  This course provides tactics to be utilized by patrol officers, narcotics officers and SWAT Team members to assault a vehicle and arrest the suspects inside while minimizing the chances of crossfire.  

Tactical Teams must be able to handle a hostage situation wherever it presents itself.  Modern, mass-transit buses hold a large number of potential victims and are a prime target for hostage takers.  This course covers the tactics utilized in rescuing the hostages inside a bus.  The course will cover the techniques utilized to disable a bus and the tactics of assaulting the linear target.  

Most Tactical Teams have access to various armored vehicles.  Everything from military Humvees & MRAP's to high level civilian designed vehicles.  Unfortunately, most of these vehicles come with little to no training, other than an owner's manual.

This course starts with multiple driving courses through various environments, including tight quarters, giving the operator first-hand knowledge of the blind spots and how to maneuver the vehicle appropriately.  It then progresses to simulated tactical situations and how to not only deploy a team from inside the vehicle but also how to use the capabilities of the "rolling armor" to their advantage.

Many law enforcement agencies have received Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) armored vehicles from the US Government for use in critical incidents within their jurisdiction.  Unfortunately, these vehicles come with little to no training, other than an owner's manual that can be downloaded and is thicker than a phone book.

MRAP's have numerous complex systems built into the vehicle that may be confusing without proper training.  There are also numerous blind spots when trying to drive.  GSR Group brings a US Military certified MRAP Repair Technician/Instructor to these courses, who covers all the systems and recommended maintenance on the vehicle.  GSR Group then teaches you how to operate the armored vehicle in a safe and effective manner, and how to maneuver the MRAP through tight quarters.  This course is predominantly an MRAP operations course (driving, operating, maneuvering, etc) but will include some tactics to show how to use the vehicle to keep your team safe.

This extremely interactive course instructs the concepts of adult learning theory, curriculum development, curriculum facilitating techniques, and real world instructional tactics & techniques that are imperative for use in classrooms as well as other learning environments.  You will prepare classes from design through actual presentation.

This is not a shooting course.  It is designed to make you a better instructor, regardless of the subject matter you teach.

This course provides Law Enforcement personnel with the knowledge & skills to conduct protective operations for Dignitaries, Politicians, Hollywood Diva's, Witnesses, High-Level Prisoners, and other persons who require protection due to threats of violence.  Students will learn and practice all the facets of close protection, including threat assessment, site security, advance site duties, motorcade operations, walking formations, close quarters shooting, reaction to contact, and emergency exfiltration techniques.
